Successful weekend at Camden Spring Classic

"Candide" ridden by Ashley Peacock and Elizabeth Boyd, had a fantastic week in Camden. We are so proud of this young up and coming horse. We all look forward to watching her continued success!

Jack Towell Clinic

A great time was had by all at our first Jack Towell clinic! We are thrilled that a clinician of such caliber is now available in our area! The next clinic is already in the planning stages. We are very excited that Jack will be a regular clinician here at Elysian Equine. Photo Abum

Nanci Lindroth Clinic a Great Success!

The true grit and dedication of our local horseman was illustrated Sunday as riders braved the elements for lessons with Nanci Lindroth! We had a full day of lessons and everyone went home with smiles on their faces and lots of new things to work on in the coming months. With show season just around the corner, we hope to have many more opportunities for our local riders to benefit from fabulous clinicians.

The stalls are quickly filling up with FABULOUS new horses! Elysian Equine welcomed our newest member right before the holidays. We are so glad that Sabrina and Taryn are here!
What's wrong with a new career at 20?!

Gator Dundee ridden by owner Bree Hendrick embarked on a new endeavor together at the Horse Trial hosted at TTC on the 13th of November. After doing the jumpers all his life he made these little jumps in the field look small as he sailed over each one! Congratulations to both Bree and Gator on their success in their newly found discipline..you can't even tell Gator is 20!

Cindy Thaxton clinic was a success!

The Cindy Thaxton clinic hosted over Halloween weekend had a wonderful turnout! We made a lot of new friends and had a great time taking lessons with Cindy. We look forward to hosting her again sometime in early 2011! Stay tuned to the Clinics page for information on upcoming clinics!

"Lavantus", the 2009 NCDCTA horse of the year and owned by Frances Reifler, arrived yesterday and is making himself at home very quickly. We are thrilled that they have joined us!

What a busy week here at the farm! On Wednesday we welcomed "Athena" and her owner Ashley E. Peacock, "Gator" and her owner Bree Hendrick, and "El Niño" with her owner Zan Davis. On Friday we then welcomed our fourth new boarder "Colby" owned by Susanne Valla. We are so excited to see that all eight of our new friends are settling in wonderfully!

Alexandra Taft, a senior on the intercollegiate dressage team at Wake Forest University, has brought home a new partner "Sand River." The two will be working toward completing their bronze medal this year. We look forward to being a part of their success!

"Lexi" has joined Elysian Equine for a month of training. She is already progressing very nicely and continues to show lots of wonderful potential. We look forward to working with her over the next month!
XC Course construction has begun!

Elysian Equine has begun construction of their cross country course! The course will start in the upper front field and wind down and back towards the back of the property. Eventually, it will expand to include both sides of our little creek! Stay tuned!

What a great weekend for Elysian Equine!

Stephanie Burtch and Brasco bring home the championship, as Hannah Reynolds and Bailey bring home a third place ribbon after their very first show!
We all had a great weekend and look forward to the next event.

Last weekend was a great success for the Elysian Equine Eventing team. All of our girls had a fabulous day and brought home top ribbons. A big thank you to Hillcrest Farm for putting on such a great Event.

We are thrilled to open our doors to two more additions to the family. Courtney Haley and her horse Tempest arrived last Sunday afternoon. Laurie Lawson and Luso arrived later in the day. Both horses are settling in nicely and are fabulous additions to the Elysian Equine herd. Welcome Courtney and Laurie!
Stephanie and Brasco Do It Again!

Congratulations to Stephanie Burtch and Donnie Brasco for their fabulous horse show weekend at TTC!! Stephanie made Elysian Equine proud by bringing home 2 championship ribbons in addition to all of her other victories for the day. We are so proud of them!
